Dear Parents/Guardians:

Great News!  Last week, our superintendent was informed that Priest River Junior High did make AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress).  We are proud of our last year’s 7th and 8th grade students.  Good job to our PRJH staff to get them prepared for the ISATS.  Go Warriors!

Sport pictures will be taken October 6.  Pictures forms will go home today with the athletes.

Spirit Day will be Friday, October 22.  There will be a Pep assembly at 2:00PM.  Show your spirit by dressing in orange and black.  There will be a contest to see which home room dresses up the most.  There is NO face paint allowed.  Go Warriors!

Our PRJH PTO will be sponsoring a Halloween dance on Friday, October 29.  This dance will be from 3-5PM in the school gym.  ONLY PRJH students can attend.  Costumes are encouraged.  There will be a costume contest.  A girl and boy from each grade will be selected as winners and given a basket of goodies.  There will be souvenir pictures taken for a few dollars.  The snack shack will be open.  There will be a DJ hired for the dance.  Admission is $3 without an ASB card and $2 with ASB card. Parents are encouraged to attend as chaperones.

ASB cards are for sale for $20.  They can be purchased in the office or Room 8.  This card gets discounts to PRJH dances and free admissions to all PRJH and PRLH school home games.

There is NO school on Thursday, October 7 and Friday, October 8.  It is Teacher In-Service Days.  Our teachers will be busy attending workshops or State In-Service training.

Our school has been selected to the “Scratch for Schools” program on October 27.  We have a team of two teachers, Mrs. Trost and Mr. Anselmo, who will scratch as many tickets in the allotted time.  The school will receive the amount from the winning tickets.  Go Team!

October 23 will be the Priest River Has Talent Contest Finale. It will be held in the auditorium and begin at 7:00PM.  Good luck to the contestants!
